BUSINESSPEOPLE are invited to join Dartmoor National Park officers at a meeting today to hear how superfast broadband is coming the moor through the Connecting Dartmoor and Exmoor project.
The park believes good internet access is important for many people whether to do business, learn or shop and is committed to supporting its communities access better broadband.
The project, phase two of the Connect Devon and Somerset programme, is expected to connect more than 5,500 homes and businesses as well as bringing broadband to an estimated 96 per cent of premises by the end of 2017.
Jo Rumble, communities officer at the national park, said: ‘This is an opportunity for Dartmoor’s business people to get together to hear how Dartmoor is getting better connected.’
The meeting will be held at the national park headquarters at Parke, Bovey Tracey, at 7pm.
