The premises are on the site of the former Riverside Inn, and will offer an in-store bakery range, ATM and a focus on fresh food meal ideas and essentials. Termed as a convenience store it will highlight its Community Pioneer role where a member of the shop team will work to foster involvement in community activities, from local fundraising initiatives to helping to understand and develop solutions to meet community needs. That includes support for the British Red Cross, the Co-op’s new charity partnership which will help to tackle social isolation and loneliness in communities. A Co-op spokesman said: ‘We are thrilled to have made such a significant investment in Bovey Tracey and delighted that we will have a fantastic new food store with which to serve the community.’
