A BUS driver that suffered a medical episode and crashed into a building in Newton Abbot has been discharged from hospital.
Having lost control of the vehicle, the Country Bus driver careered through the outer fencing of Newfoundland Way car park and into a building on Monday, February 10.
The driver and another of Country Bus’ drivers were taken to Torbay Hospital, with it later being confirmed that the former had suffered from a medical episode.
As a result of the incident, the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency has suspended the driver’s Public Service Vehicle licence for a period of no less then 12 months, the Mid-Devon Advertiser understands.
The PSV license allows its holder to drive a passenger-carrying vehicle that more than 16 seats.
