JOHN Dance's home-made golf course at Reddacleave Brakes, Reddacleave Farm, Dean Prior, has finally been bunkered by Dartmoor National Park Authority.
On Monday, while Mr Dance was holidaying in France, the DNPA authorised contractors to move in with plant and machinery to dig up the greens and tees.
It was the first occasion for many years that the authority had taken direct action to remedy a planning breach.
The DNPA director of planning, Stephen Belli, said it sent in the contractors with landscaping plant to restore the land to its original appearance.

move after it appeared some further engineering works were carried out on the unauthorised golf course.
'The land is being restored to its original appearance and there will be grass reseeding to return it to agricultural grazing.
