A MAJOR engineering operation has been successfully carried out as a £10 million project to realign a Kingsteignton road nears completion.
A new bridge was swung into position above Ugbrooke stream as part of ongoing work to move the B3193.
The operation was described as a 'significant step' in the project, which is being carried out by Sibelco to allow access to internationally important ball clay reserves underneath the existing road.
Sibelco's resources director Gary Stringer said: 'This is a landmark stage in the realignment of the B3193, a project that will protect jobs for the next generation.
