IN aid of Cancer Research UK eight fine gardens will be open to the public this weekend, June 10 and 11.
Once again the village of Shaldon will hold this annual event, which is a major fundraiser for Cancer Research.
Eight gardens will be on show – two for the first time and one ‘returner’.
There will also be venues selling craftwork and gift items. Refreshments will be available in several places.
Kathryn Crook, secretary of Shaldon CRUK, says: ‘Do keep your eyes peeled as you walk between gardens, and look out for a beautifully flower-decked telephone box en route.
‘Tickets, which will include a map and list of gardens, are on sale in advance from Bradleys Estate Agents and the Village Store in Shaldon.
‘Tickets will also be available on the two days of the event at signposted sites. Tickets cost £5 (children free), and can be used to visit the gardens on either one day or both days.
‘Enjoy yourselves, and help support Cancer Research UK.’
