A HUGELY successful Christmas bazaar by the Cancer Research UK (Shaldon and District branch) raised £1,000.
A spokesperson said: ‘We ended our fundraising for 2022 on a high note, with the Christmas Bazaar.
‘With the help of Santa Claus, the Rotary Club and Tangent, we raised the amazing amount of £843.
‘The sum was subsequently increased to £1,000, thanks to a very generous donation from a local person.
‘We are indebted to the local businesses who donated raffle prizes: Haze Hairdresser’s, Jack’s Patch, the Clipper Cafe, Drift Beauty and Wellbeing – and to Morrison’s who gave us bottles of mulled wine, which was most welcome on such a very cold day!
Thanks go to all the committee members who work so hard to make events enjoyable, as well as profitable – and to everyone who comes along to support us.
