SPORTING their festive-themed outwear, a sizeable number of Newton Abbot's canines came together over the weekend for the town's dog friendly Christmas carol service.

Lead by Reverend Gareth Regan, and in association with the Anglican churches of Newton Abbot, the open-air service, which took place on Saturday, December 9, was held in aid of Animals in Distress.

Carols were sung by the choir, dog owners and even some of the dogs: barking along in tune (sometimes).
