A CHANCE to learn how to create a tasty meal from those leftover bits and pieces in the fridge and elsewhere is coming to Ashburton. 

This event, which is free and is to take place on from 4pm to 6pm on March 14, is a hands on practical workshop for adults to prepare and a cook a budget friendly supper dish, which they can take home to eat. 

Attendees will learn how to prepare vegetables safely, how to minimise cooking time and maximise using up leftovers, with lots of tips, tricks and resources during and after the workshop to boot.

It should be mentioned that the workshop is advance booking only, for those in TQ13 postcode area.

You’ll need to bring an apron or a clean large shirt to cover your clothes, a clean tea towel, two medium size saucepans with lids, and a two heat safe containers with lids big enough to take two portions of supper home.

Hosted at Ashburton Town Hall, the event has been made free of charge by Devon Communities Together grant funding and with the help of the Ashburton Community Fridge volunteers.
