TOWN councillors in Ashburton are inviting local organisations to submit applications for grant aid.

The deadline for lodging funding requests with the council expires on March 10, with consideration given to each submission on March 21.

Application forms are available from the Town Clerk at the Town Hall.

A council spokesman said: ‘These must be forwarded to the town hall in North Street with full details of the project for which funding is required, and supported by a copy of the constitution, a set of accounts and a copy of the last annual meeting minutes.’

The spokesman stressed that only applications delivered to the clerk’s office would be considered.

The lottery panel are only able to award grants to organisations which are non grant-paying bodies.
