Teignbridge District Council received over 90 applications for its arts project grant scheme, which closed on Friday (June 21).
Teignbridge Arts Project (TAP) grants are aimed at improving opportunities for Teignbridge residents to experience and participate in the arts. The scheme opened to applications last month.
‘Applications have been put forward from a diverse range of arts projects across the district including family festivals, workshops for children, dance theatre, poetry, comic workshops, storytelling and musical performances,’ a spokesperson from Teignbridge Council said.
‘Themes which have run through these projects include promoting health and wellbeing and mindfulness, raising awareness of violence against women, and bringing communities and different generations together,’ the spokesperson added.
The applications will now be reviewed and scored by the Teignbridge Arts Board, which is made up of local arts experts from the area.
Successful applicants will be notified by the end of July.
