TEIGNMOUTH Art Society (TAS) is holding its 2024 summer exhibition at the Teignmouth Arts Action Group (TAAG) gallery and it promises to be an event not to be missed.

The exhibition runs from August 17 until August 30.

Visitors play an active role in TAS exhibitions by voting for their favourite exhibit, and contributing to the ‘People’s Choice Margaret Allenby Award’.

Pictured above is local artist Sue Thomas, the award recipient at the last TAS Exhibition for her painting ‘O’Malley the Alley Cat’.

Other judged award categories include best marine painting and landscape painting, as well as most innovative work.

The Society plays a crucial role within the Teignmouth ‘creative hub’, now offering a bursary scheme aimed at helping artists learn new skills, grow in confidence, and develop their art businesses.

The exhibition runs 10am to 5pm daily, except on Friday, August 30, when it is open 10am to 3pm
