The Teignmouth detachment of the Army Cadet Force (ACF) is to relocate from its base at the bottom of Bitton Park in Teignmouth to Dawlish this month.

The move was originally due to be a temporary relocation while the community units at the bottom of Bitton Park were redeveloped.

However, following the closure of the 2401 Dawlish Squadron Air Training Corps last summer, the Army Cadet Force will now move into their vacant premises at Dawlish College on a permanent basis.

Teignmouth Town Council (TTC) has denied rumours on social media that it had refused tp renew the lease of the Bitton Park hut. ‘Teignbridge District Council lapsed the leases in or around 2019/2020 when they expired because of the transfer (to TTC) and redevelopment plan,’ a TTC spokesperson explained.
