DAWLISH is preparing to mark Armed Forces Day.
The Royal British LegionDawlish Branch and Dawlish Town Council are organising the event on Saturday June 17.
Starting at 11.30am at the Manor House in Park Road, the parade will march to the Lawn, led by the South West Comms Band.
On arrival at the Lawn, the Union Flag will be raised.
Service men and women will be welcomed by the deputy Lord Lieutenant of Devon followed by the National Anthem.
After the fall out, there will be a host of events on the Lawn for the remainder of the afternoon.
These will include re-enactment teams, Armed Forces Bikers and children’s activities.
Members of the cadet forces will be on hand throughout the day.
Refreshments will be provided by the Dawlish Branch of the Royal British Legion.
The Royal British Legion Club on Park Road is also hosting a buffet and evening of entertainment to celebrate the ending of Armed Forces Day.
