CHUDLEIGH got into the festive spirit on Thursday last week when the town enjoyed the seasonal switching on of its Christmas lights.

Plenty of townsfolk joined in the fun as children from Chudleigh Primary School paraded with home-made decorations – and Father Christmas – from the church end of town up to the town hall.

There everyone joined in seasonal carols to see the Christmas season off in style.

Among those attending were Chudleigh carnival queen Rio Bailey, attendant Alex Robbins and princess Terri Shotter.
