A BUCKFASTLEIGH man accused of arranging or facilitating sexual activity with a child and distributing indecent images of children has been sent to the Crown Court for trial.
James Pidgeon, aged 57, of Crest Hill, Buckfastleigh, appeared before South and West Devon Magistrates' Court on eight charges and was remanded in custody to appear for trial at Exeter Crown Court on August 17.
He is charged with distributing indecent photographs or pseudo – photographs of a child, namely 27 Category A indecent videos of children.
He faces a similar charge involving one Category A indecent image of a child.
He is also similarly charged involving 29 Category C indecent images of children and five Category B indecent images of children and five Category C indecent videos of children, also 13 Category B indecent videos of children.
He is also charged with breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order by carrying out a ‘factory reset’ on an electronic device.
