Torrential rain saw parts of Teignbridge under water this weekend with roads closed by both fallen trees and floodwater.

Heavy overnight rain saw many rivers overflowing on Saturday, with the River Teign bursting its banks in several locations.

Worst hit on Saturday was the B3193 Exeter Road between Kingsteignton and Teigngrace that was flooded to a depth of nearly three feet in places.

Sunday saw trees brought down near Ashcombe and the River Dart Country Park near Ashburton

Sport was also effected with waterlogged pitches causing many football matches to be cancelled.
