Christina Siviter, of Hazeldown Road, Teignmouth, writes:
My neighbour contacted Devon Highways about getting our road’s potholes filled in. An official came to inspect and showed him the official report on his tablet – ‘Hazeldown Road is a disgrace’.
He promised that it would be done within 28 days.
On the afternoon of the 28th day two workmen showed up, gave a quick lick and spit of Tarmac to a couple of little holes and cleared off. What about the rest?
It is a false economy to leave filling holes till later. They rapidly become much, much worse, and far more expensive to repair.
Anne Marie Morris, please persuade the Government to allocate more funds now for the good of the nation.
