POLICE urged motorists to be cautious after a spate of road accidents in the icy conditions across Teignbridge and the rest of Devon this morning.

No serious collisions were reported, but minor bumps were logged throughout the county.

Accidents in the slippery conditions were recorded on the Newton road at Bishopsteignton, Ashcombe on the A380 and on the same road’s Splatford Split at the bottom of Telegraph Hill.
