POLICE are investigating a report that a horse suffered a puncture wound to its front leg/chest area – caused by a sharp, flat instrument – in the Dean Prior area, near Buckfastleigh.
A police spokesperson said: ‘The injury was inflicted some time between 4.30pm on Saturday, April 10, and 2pm on Sunday, April 11.
‘It was reported by the horse’s owner and the animal is receiving veterinary treatment.’
