A LOTUS GT410, decked out in Police colours, caught the eye of many a passer-by last Saturday.

The supercar served as an icebreaker, enticing onlookers in to discuss speeding in and around Newton Abbot with volunteers from Community Speed Watch (CSW).

CSW aims to educate drivers who exceed the speed limit and make communities safer by reducing vehicle speeds with mayor Mike Joyce describing the community-led scheme as ‘invaluable’.

Newton Abbot Mayor Mike Joyce said: ‘Community speed watch has shown its effectiveness in many areas.’
