A LARGE mobile home was severely damaged in a fire at Haccombe with Combe yesterday evening (Sunday).

Fire engines from nearby Newton Abbot and Torquay fought the blaze at 9.40pm.

A Fire Control spokesperson said: ‘Fire appliances attended a large mobile home well alight and put the fire out using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and small tools.

‘The vehicle was severely damaged by the fire and crews checked for hot spots using a thermal imaging camera.

‘The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.’
