A MAN was arrested on the Lawn in Dawlish last night following an altercation.
Police were called to the town centre following reports of a disturbance at about 6.45pm.
A police spokesman said a man and a woman who were known to each other had been involved in an argument.
During the row, the woman’s sunglasses were broken on the ground.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property.
He remains in police custody.
