They were called to the crash at Ugborough shortly after 7.30pm.
A fire control spokesperson said: ‘Crews arrived on scene and prepared to extricate the casualty while administering casualty care, with small tools and lighting in use.
‘Ambulance and Police arrived on scene.
‘Crews got to work with stabilisation, small tools and hydraulic cutting gear to extricate the casualty, working with the paramedics.
‘Crews also made the vehicle safe.
‘One male casualty was taken to hospital by Ambulance, and scene was handed to the police.’
