FIREFIGHTERS were this morning (Friday Dec 22nd) still tacking a large barn on fire in Stokeinteignhead.
Crews were called to the blaze just before midnight following multiple calls about the incident in Deane Road.
A spokesman from Devon and Somerset Fire Rescue Service said: “Two appliances and a water foam carrier initially responded, but due to the number of calls and reports of the size of the fire this was increased to a four appliances plus an additional water bowser."
"At present crews are using four covering jets to protect surrounding barns and fields.”
Police are also in attendance at the scene as the fire is believed to be of a suspicious nature.
