MORE than a dozen firefighters dealt with a tumble dryer blaze in a flat above a Chagford pub over the weekend.
Crews from Bovey Tracey, Moretonhampstead and North Tawton dealt with the incident above the Chagford Inn in Mill Street on Saturday morning.
The fire was confined to the appliance which was removed from the property.
Four sets of breathing gear were worn by firefighters who used a hosereel jet to extinguish the burning dryer.
A positive pressure fan was used to ventilate the smoke-filled flat.
The cause of the incident, reported at 7.10am, was accidental.
