A MOTORCYCLIST killed in a bike crash outside Torquay last week has been named as 58-year-old Nigel Gask from Teignmouth.

Mr Gask died at the scene of the accident on the Teignmouth Road on Friday night when his Harley Davidson machine collided with roadside furniture.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident which happened just before 9pm.

The casualty’s family have paid a fond tribute to the man who lit up their world.

His wife and daughter said this week: ‘Nigel was everything to us, he was a loving and caring husband and father.

‘He was always able to make us laugh and make his friends laugh. He would always help anyone.’

They added: ‘He loved his motorbikes and music. He loved his life in Teignmouth. Teignmouth made him smile.

‘We can’t believe he has gone. He was our world.’

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact officers on 101, quoting log 0894 of June 26.
