A DIGGER was destroyed in a fire at Bridford this afternoon, Monday.

Firefighters from Chagford were called out to deal with the blaze shortly before 2pm.

A Fire Control spokesperson said: ‘On arrival, crews confirmed it to be a digger on fire on private land, which was well alight.

‘Crews extinguished the fire using compressed air foam (CAFS).

’The vehicle was completely destroyed by fire and the cause was accidental.’
